Stop to fill up your tank at Dubois (exit 167)—this is your last fuel stop. Also,
please call the Taft Nicholson Center office at (406) 276-3320 from Dubois to let
us know you are on your way. Cell service will be quickly lost once you return to I-15 N.
From I-15 N, exit at Monida (Exit 0). This is the first exit in Montana.
Turn right (east). *Note the paved road quickly turns into a dirt road. Drive well below the speed limit
on this road; there is high risk of flat tires.
Stay on this road for 26 miles until you reach the Taft-Nicholson Center, located
just past the Red Rocks Lake Wildlife Refuge Headquarters.
GPS will lead you well beyond the Center, so please watch for signs for both the Wildlife
Refuge and the Taft Nicholson Center.
Pull up in front of the Center office, which is located on your right.
