Indigenous Research Stories

The Taft-Nicholson Center works to foster ancestral connections to what is now called the Centennial Valley, amplify Indigenous voices, and support Native research. In 2024, the Center hosted a group of historians who worked to illuminate ancestral connections to the Greater Yellowstone region. Thank you to Darren Parry (Northwestern Band Shoshone Nation), Rose Ann Abrahamson (Shoshone Bannock Nation), and Ivan D. Posey (Eastern Shoshone Nation).
